Weekly Round-up: Shaggy clears the air… Bashco robbed… Windies hammer Afghanistan

KINGSTON, JamaicaReggae artiste Shaggy on Monday sought to clear the air regarding the use of over $100 million raised by the Shaggy & Friends concert in 2018 for the Bustamante Hospital for Children. The artiste disclosed that majority of the funds, which were initially earmarked for the construction of an intensive care unit at the hospital, will now go towards a new three-storey, 150-bed ward, set to cost $150 million.

The police are now investigating a break-in at the popular Bashco store in downtown Kingston after criminals made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and electronics sometime between Tuesday night and daybreak on Wednesday.

And, West Indies hammered Afghanistan to end the team’s longest losing streak in Twenty20 internationals on Thursday, making 164-5 from their 20 overs and then restricting Afghanistan to 134-9.
